Your Partner in Advocacy
With more than four decades in education, I have represented the student and educational perspective at the IEP table—teaching, evaluating, developing and implementing IEPs, and helping determine services, supports, communication access and placement. My experience spans a broad range of educational needs, with extensive expertise in deaf and hard-of-hearing education, deafblindness, communication and access. I have worked with students and families from infancy through preparation for adulthood and have served as an educator, program leader, educational consultant, business owner and school board trustee.
Today, I bring that experience alongside families. I help parents navigate 504 Plans and IEPs, understand what the information really means for their child, identify what may be missing, and ask the questions that need to be asked. My focus is the whole student—not a disability label—and ensuring educational decisions reflect the child's academic, behavioral, health, communication, functional and individual needs.
